Roland Nickel (b. 1950)

 

Roland Nickel was born in 1950 in Pegnitz (Bavaria).

 

From 1965 to 1968 Roland Nickel had an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk.

From 1969 to 1974 Roland Nickel studied painting and graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg under Gerhard Wendland and from 1974 to 1977 design and textile art under Stephan Eusemann where he became in 1975 a master student.

 

In 1977 Roland Nickel published his children's book "Rosalie und der Zauberer" ("Rosalie and the Magician") via the publishing house Brunner in Bavaria.

Purchased by John and Renate Hammond from Roland Nickel on the occasion of his solo exhibition TRAUMBILDER & PALMEN (VISIONS & PALM TREES) in their 'Galerie am Theater' in 1980.
