Michael Lassel

Michael Lassel was born in 1948 in Siebenbürgen, Romania.

From 1968 to 1972 he studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest and moved in 1986 to Germany.

In 1990 Michael Lassel was awarded with the Médaille d'or et le Grand Prix Robert Vrinat in Metz. In 1991 with the First Prize of the European Academy of Fine Arts in Luxembourg and the Médaille d’or in Nancy. In 1992 with the Vittelius d'or in Vittel. In 1994 with the Coupe de la Ville Avignon “Art Mundial” and the Médaille d’or in Béziers.

Michael Lassel has participated in major group exhibitions, including

Babylon: Myth and Reality (2008) at The British Museum in London.

Michael Lassel lives and works in Fürth (Bavaria), Germany.
