Mamdouh Kachlan (b. 1929)

 

Mamdouh Kachlan was born in 1929 in Damascus, Syria.

 

Mamdouh Kachlan studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy.

 

Mamdouh Kachlan is represented in many national and international museums including the National museum of Damascus, Aleppo and Deir Atieh and the presidential palace. Mamdouh Kachlans work is also on display in the Sorsoq Museum in Beirut, Lebanon and Modern art museum in Cairo, Egypt and has been displayed in Sofia, Bulgaria, Paris and Seinajoki, Finland.

 

In 1996 Mamdouh Kachlan was awarded the pioneers prize from the ministry of culture in Syria.
