Zygmunt Januszewski (1956–2013)
Zygmunt Januszewski was born in 1956 in Warsaw, Poland. From 1976 to 1981, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
His artistic oeuvre encompassed drawing, illustration, graphic design, poster art, book illustration, installations, and poetry. Januszewski presented his work in more than one hundred solo exhibitions in Poland and internationally.
From 2000 to 2002, he served as a professor at the International Summer Academy in Salzburg. Between 2003 and 2013, he was Head of Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
Januszewski’s works are represented in numerous public collections, including the National Museum in Warsaw and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Zygmunt Januszewski passed away in 2013 in Warsaw, Poland.
