Artists A - Z

Ingrid Christie

Ingrid Christie, born in London, began her academic career in science and completed her art studies at the University of Central Lancashire with distinction.

After an impressive exhibition of collages at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2011 Ingrid Christie was invited by the Richard Demarco European Art Foundation in Edinburgh as artist-in-Residence.

Ingrid Christie is considered a virtuoso collagist. Her main tool is with all digital possibilities aside, the scissors. If one wanted to find a historical comparison then probably the Dadaist Hannah Höch comes to mind, who earned international fame through her cut and glue works.

Ingrid Christie currently lives between two locations - the Scottish Borders and her home overlooking MorecambeBay.
